What I Learned as a Business Development Manager at DON Healthcare
Reflecting on my time working as a Business Development Manager at DON Monte Carlo for the healthcare and biotech sectors, I can confidently say that this role has been an incredibly valuable step in my professional journey.
The opportunities DON Monte Carlo presented and the challenges to overcome in this role have allowed me to grow personally and professionally.
One of the most significant skills I have developed with DON Healthcare was professional communication.
An important part of my role was communicating with DON’s UHNW business network, their clients, and investors. This unique opportunity to directly speak with start-up CEO’s, reach out to prospect clients, and participate in business development meetings has given me the ability to effectively and clearly communicate in a professional manner.
With guidance from the DON team, I developed my social interactions, presentation skills, and verbal articulation with both clients and the team itself. Another key area of growth for me was strategizing brand awareness.
Having the responsibility to gather data and analyze market trends, source potential new clients, as well as construct creative marketing initiatives has strengthened my research capabilities, customer outreach strategies, and strategic planning. I have learned how to identify opportunities in my research to then develop an effective strategy for client acquisition and solutions to client needs.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time and guidance at DON Monte Carlo, and I recommend students searching for internships to look into this opportunity in order to master professional skills and directly engage in business processes.
